You will be asked to complete forms on the first visit which can take about 10-15 minutes.

  1. The physiotherapist will take a detailed history (i.e., discuss your concerns, health history, and goals for seeking treatment)
  2. Perform a functional objective exam – observe your posture/alignment, perform specific movement tests of your joints/muscles/ligaments/cartilage in order to diagnose
  3. Discuss your goals and treatment plan and options available

Physiotherapists are direct access practitioners and do not need a doctor’s referral to begin treatments. In some cases, some insurance companies and/or plans may require you to provide a doctor’s referral in order to get the services paid for by your insurance.

Yes! Most extended health plans cover Registered Physiotherapy services.
