⏱ Duration: 60 Minutes of Personalized Care
Your first visit is one hour long and includes two main components:
- Assessment (first 30 minutes)
- Treatment (final 30 minutes)
📝 Part 1: Assessment – Understanding the Root Cause
We begin with a detailed discussion to learn more about your current condition, health history, and movement goals. Your physiotherapist will ask questions about:
- The location and nature of your pain or symptoms
- How and when the issue began
- Daily activities, work demands, or lifestyle factors that may be contributing
- Any past injuries, surgeries, or medical diagnoses
They may also perform physical assessments such as range of motion testing, joint mobility, postural evaluation, and movement screens to better understand the underlying cause of your discomfort. This comprehensive approach helps them create a treatment plan that’s tailored to your needs.
💆♂️ Part 2: Treatment – Hands-On, One-on-One Care
Once we’ve completed the assessment, we’ll move into the treatment phase of your session. This may include:
- Manual therapy – techniques such as soft tissue release, joint mobilization, and stretching to reduce tension and restore mobility
- Acupuncture or cupping – if appropriate, these techniques may be used to decrease pain, improve circulation, and promote healing
- Movement education – we’ll help you understand what’s happening in your body and how to support your recovery

🏠 Home Exercise Program
At the end of your session, your physiotherapist will provide you with a home exercise plan—what we often refer to as your “physio homework.” These exercises are simple, practical, and tailored to your condition. They are designed to:
- Reinforce what was accomplished during your treatment
- Improve strength, flexibility, and stability
- Accelerate your progress between sessions
Staying consistent with your exercises is a key part of the recovery process, and we’ll make sure you feel confident doing them on your own.
